Position Summary:
The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating, preparing, scheduling, and monitoring of all construction documents and managing all submittals on a daily basis.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assists with scanning, managing, and organizing paper and electronic plans.
- Coordinate with vendors for pricing.
- Assist with creating shop drawings and project manuals.
- Manage all components of job submittals and production rates.
- Plan, Prepare and schedule all Pre-PCT meetings with applicable Marnell personnel.
- Responsible for understanding builders’ philosophies, hierarchy, bid format, and presentation requirements.
- Responsible for obtaining necessary permits.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the President.
Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-years’ experience as a Project Engineer preferred.
- BA degree in Construction Management, or other similar field of study preferred.
- Pass the company’s Driver Approval Process required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software required.
- Knowledge of Procore Software.
- Knowledge of Vista Project Site.
- Must work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Must have a likeable personality and ability to get along with customers.
- Must have the ability to read plans and engineering (i.e. architectural, shop drawings, and structural, and civil plans, etc.)
- Must have both excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50lb.
- Pass mandatory drug test and background check test required.
- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation accurately, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
