Job Title: Wood CNC and Moulder Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wood CNC and Moulder Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating, programming, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines and moulders used in woodworking processes primarily the Morbidelli N100 as well as our SCM Superset NT Moulder . As a Wood CNC and Moulder Technician, you will be responsible for setting up machines, programming tool paths, monitoring operations, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during production. Attention to detail, proficiency in CNC programming software, and a strong mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines and moulders according to job specifications, including loading materials, installing cutting tools, and adjusting machine settings.

Programming: Write and modify CNC programs using Maestro CAD to create tool paths and control machining operations based on design requirements.

Operation Monitoring: Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the production process, and make adjustments as needed to optimize performance.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of machined parts to verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality, taking corrective action as necessary to maintain standards.

Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines and moulders, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.

Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with CNC machines and moulders, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and production delays.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and maintenance activities, as well as any programming changes or adjustments made during the manufacturing process.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members on the operation and maintenance of CNC machines and moulders, sharing knowledge and best practices to improve overall productivity.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working with CNC machines and moulders in a woodworking or manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, as well as knowledge of moulding processes and equipment.

CNC Programming: Strong understanding of CNC programming concepts and experience with software such as AutoCAD, Mastercam, or similar programs.

Mechanical Aptitude: Excellent mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions effectively.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate machining and quality control.

Communication: Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions in a fast-paced production environment.

Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Technical degree or certification in machining, woodworking, or a related field.

Advanced Skills: Experience with advanced CNC programming techniques, multi-axis machining, or complex part setups.

Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and advancements in CNC machining and woodworking processes.
